This week has been a rollercoaster of emotions – But I am thinking about my Christmas Wishlist so things are getting better.
Boy Child made a significant decision in his life, and it’s absolutely gut-wrenching to watch him have to make it. But, it is what’s best for his health, and we absolutely support him. That said, goodness did the tears freely flow. He has his end-of-season football banquet tonight. I need to remember to tell him to get his Christmas Wishlist completed!
Girl Child had her end-of-season banquet on Tuesday for diving. She was recovering from surgery this season but was able to dive in one meet. I’m hoping that next year, her senior year, she’ll be injury-free and able to get back to the fun of it all. Also she was asked to finalize her Christmas Wishlist and the stinker said just look at my amazon, if I want to ad something and it is too late, My birthday is in January.
They both brought me to tears this week, even if they don’t know it. Their lives are changing so much—so many things happening, both good and bad. I’m so excited for their futures and what they choose to do!
Fresh Onsets at Work!
In my work life, I’m also trying new things, attempting to keep up with the age of 2024. And, well, that’s not easy, haha. Old ways still work, but it’s important to incorporate new ones. I’m out here listening to podcasts, attending trainings, and trying to find my way so that I can teach these methods to my employees. Yesterday, I posted something about the industry we primarily work in, and within 10 minutes, it was picked up by LinkedIn and added to a news report they do.
I’ve done this type of thing before, but not consistently, and I’ve NEVER had LinkedIn News pick it up. It was definitely surreal, especially since I’ve been talking to my owners about getting our brand out there and doing this kind of thing. We both decided I would start trying it—getting my feet wet and seeing what happens. It was such a shock to have the first thing I posted in this new phase of transformation receive that much attention. I know it’s unlikely to happen again, or at least not for a while, but it was all kinds of exciting and amazing.
Finally Christmas Wishlist…Teaser & Social Media
I was asked to create a Christmas Wishlist. I have no idea what I want for Christmas. half my stuff is in boxes, and the other half we haven’t split up yet. I’ve decided to make a Wishlist for each area of my blog. Look out for my *Christmas Wishlist – Home Bar Edition*, *Christmas Wishlist – Kitchen Edition*, and finally, *Christmas Wishlist – Empty Nest Edition*. I know I’m jumping ahead of Thanksgiving—gobble gobble. I do plan to share a Thanksgiving drink and at least one Thanksgiving appetizer before then!
Okay I heard you! here is my teaser. I have wanted a Apple Peeler Corer Slicer for forever, I want to bake and cook with apples but all that stuff is time consuming and so I don’t. That will definitely be on my Christmas Wishlist – Kitchen Edition!
Finally, I launched my TikTok today under the same name: **Fresh Onsets**. This is will go along with my Facebook page. Watch for cross-posts, maybe unique posts? We’ll see how it goes.
